Our client split a mid-terraced house into 2 units, turning the original 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the upper floor into a one-bedroom apartment. After everything was taken out, we went and took measurements, which were then sent to our designer in Hong Kong for a bespoke design.

This design displays the new bedroom and new living/kitchen. There are 2 custom wardrobes and a tatami inspired bed with storage in the bedroom, as well as a brand new kitchen and a tatami platform with storage and a table in the middle. The table can be positioned back into the tatami platform, making it a separate bed for guests to stay overnight. All the shelves for every wardrobe and cabinet were made with plywood, the strongest and most moisture-resistant engineered wood which is pricey enough in Ireland. Even MDF is very expensive in this country but it is certainly not the best quality or the most durable. Additionally, all the doors for the wardrobes and cabinets are made with solid wood boards, making the new furniture and kitchen last for decades.
